Mari Leckrone, 47, of 7860 W. CR 1000S, Akron, passed away at 10:45 a.m. Sept. 1, 2012, in her residence.
She was born June 10, 1965, in Warsaw, to Thomas R. and Marietta Whitehead Miller. On Oct. 20, 1984, she married David L. Leckrone, who survives.
A lifetime resident of Kosciusko County, she attended Warsaw Community Church. She was a 1983 graduate of Warsaw Community High School and worked for 20 years in the accounting department at Dalton Foundries, Warsaw. She loved to donate to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. She was a member of the Warsaw Breast Cancer Support Group.
She will be lovingly remembered by her husband, David Leckrone, Akron; a daughter, Beth (and spouse Jarrod) Phillips, Auburn; a son, Derek Leckrone, Akron; two grandsons, Austin and Alex; her mother, Marietta Miller, Claypool; three sisters: Deb (and spouse Joel) Braunstein, Casa Grande, Ariz.; Kathy (and spouse Bing) Johnston, Claypool; and Marcia (and spouse Doug) VanLue, Lexington, Ky.; and a brother, Tom (and spouse Kay) Miller, Warsaw. She was preceded in death by her father.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, 225 Argonne Road, Warsaw, with Pastor Jeff Pfeifer officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
