LA PORTE - Margaret A. Nichols, 95, of Michigan City, died at 3:55 p.m., Sept. 17, 2007, at La Porte Hospital.
She was born Sept. 26, 1911, in South Whitley, to Fredrich and Florence Newcomer Cone. On Sept. 26, 1936, in Sidney, she married John Nichols, who preceded her in death.
Surviving are a son; a daughter; two stepdaughters, including Mrs. Robert (Nancy) Hoeppner, Warsaw; 18 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother.
Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Church of the Brethren, La Porte, with Pastor Hubert Newcomer officiating. There will be cremation.
Calling is from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at Lakeview Funeral Home and Crematory, La Porte, and from 10 a.m. until the time of service Saturday at the church.
