Warsaw Community High School alums Paul Marandet and Kyle Mangas were each named First Team NAIA All-Americans Friday.
Marandet led Spring Arbor University to the NAIA Division II national championship earlier this week. He just completed his junior season at Spring Arbor.
Mangas, an Indiana Wesleyan sophomore, helped lead his team to the national championship in 2018.
Logan Godfrey of Grace College was named honorable mention.
The Lancer’s Charlie Warner was named to the CoSIDA Google Cloud Academic All-American team.
Others from the Crossroad League honored by the NAIA included Second Team All Americans Trevion Crews of Bethel, Jevon Knox of Mount Vernon Nazarene and Wes Stowers; Third Team All Americans Reginals Kissoonla of Marian and Evan Maxwell of Indiana Wesleyan; and honorable mention Brett Vipperman of Mount Vernon Nazarene and Brandon Durnell of Spring Arbor.
Women’s basketball players in the Crossroads League honored as NAIA All Americans were were Kendall Bradbury of Taylor University, first team; Sejah Cyrus of Marian, second team; with honorable mention to Becca Buchs of Taylor, Sarah Fryman of Huntington, Kara Gerka of Saint Francis and Nicole Ignasiak of Indiana Wesleyan.
Others named as CoSIDA Google Cloud Academic All-Americans were Tom Hamilton of Spring Arbor, Gerka and Bradbury.
