Saturday’s 7 p.m. final will feature No. 9 Fort Wayne Concordia and the 11th-ranked Manchester Squires.

The sectional champion will advance to the Oak Hill Regional and face the winner of the Northwestern Sectional on Oct. 13.

Concordia, now 13-4-1, put itself in Saturday’s sectional final with an 8-0 win over the Tippecanoe Valley Vikings, who finished the season with a record of 4-12.

Adam Gottschalk scored three goals for the Cadets, while Tumi Malaste scored twice and Ryan Hoffman, Mason Kaschinske and Elijah Mack netted one goal each in Wednesday’s first semifinal.

In the second semifinal, the high-scoring Squires led 5-0 at halftime en route to a 6-0 win over Three Rivers Conference foe Peru.

Caleb Stout scored three times for Manchester and added an assist, while Isaiah Davis scored two goals and Brandon Wagoner one.

Wagoner assisted Davis on one of his goals, while Dylan Brubaker, Michael Learned and Michael Wirsing had one assist each.

Manchester improved to 16-0 and set a program record for shutouts in a season with 11.

Wednesday’s shutout was the fifth straight for the Squires, who haven’t been scored on since a 6-2 win over Evansville North on Sept. 22.

The Squires have outscored their 16 opponents 115-9.
