Manchester Hosts Polar Plunge Feb. 22 To Aid Special Olympics

NORTH MANCHESTER – Manchester University will host its first polar plunge Feb. 22 to raise funds for the Special Olympics.
Residents of Kosciusko and Wabash counties are invited to “Freezin’ For A Reason” on Feb. 22 outside the Physical Education and Recreation Center (PERC).
Events begin at 10 a.m. with sign-ups and a welcome, followed by costume judging at noon. The water portion is 12:30 to 1:30 p.m., with the after-splash bash at 1:30 p.m.
Team members can sign up as participants, which means they jump in the water, or as “virtual plungers,” who are those who raise money but do not get wet.

The goal is raise $17,000 for Special Olympics in Kosciusko and Wabash counties, with 50 plungers on campus.
