Manchester Chamber Eyeing Merger With Main Street Group

NORTH MANCHESTER – A public meeting is set June 4 to discuss the transition of Manchester Main Street and North Manchester Chamber of Commerce into becoming one organization.
The meeting will be at 7 p.m. at the Manchester Firehouse.
These will be some of the topics for discussion:
• The respective boards of directors of the two organizations are proposing to join together and create a more streamlined organization with the strength and agility to take advantage of opportunities and address challenges impacting the community.
• A transition board has been appointed to work through the process of combining the two groups.
• The board’s goal is to ask the members of the two organizations to consider a consolidation plan in October and complete the transition by Dec. 31.
This meeting is for members of either group and community members who want more information on the consolidation.
