Man Sentenced For Dealing Narcotics

Posted
A Warsaw man was convicted in Kosciusko Circuit Court Monday of dealing narcotics.

Cody Allen Hale, 31, of 425 Wexford Place, Warsaw, appeared in front of Circuit Court Judge Mike Reed and was given three years in the Indiana Department of Corrections for the Level 5 felony dealing a narcotic drug conviction. One year of that is to be spent in the Kosciusko County Jail, with two years suspended to formal probation. Hale has accrued 348 days of good time credit that will be applied to his one year executed.

Hale also is set to graduate in February from the Jail Chemical Addiction Program (JCAP), and was acknowledged by Kosciusko Deputy Prosecuting Attorney Matt Bueler for Hale’s commitment to the program.

Hale said Bueler’s words of affirmation meant a lot to him, then Hale apologized for his actions and said he will continue to seek help.

Reed also acknowledged Hale’s work in JCAP but said it’s only a starting point. He ordered Hale to continue the JCAP after-care program and to attend two self-help meetings a week upon his release.

According to the probable cause affidavit, in May Warsaw police conducted a controlled purchase of 1 gram of heroin from Hale.
