Main Street Warsaw Announces Events For Third Friday

A number of activities are scheduled for Main Street Warsaw’s Third Friday downtown Warsaw this Friday, Aug. 18.
According to a news release from Main Street Warsaw, the main attractions are:
• WRSW 75th Anniversary Block Party celebrating 75 years in Warsaw. Photo booth from Love Birds Photo Booth. Free WRSW anniversary treats while supplies last. Chance to win special 75th anniversary WRSW T-Shirts and more. Live music will be provided by the band "The Dad Bods.”
• Kosciusko Board of Realtors Car Show, including giveaways and awards for Best of Show, Best in Class and People’s Choice.
The car show registration is 3 to 5 p.m. at the intersection of Indiana and Center streets, with the rest of the festivities running from 5 to 8 p.m. Judging begins at 5 p.m., awards are at 7 p.m. Rain date is Sept. 15, according to the flyer.
Cost is $15 for pre-registered vehicles and $20 on the day of the event.
• The finals of "Warsaw's Got Talent," featuring songs by vocalists Breanna Bennett and Natalie Linnemeier with comedy by Amanda Sautter. The performance times with be:
6:15 and 6:33 p.m. - Breanna Bennett
6:21 and 6:39 p.m. - Natalie Linnemeier
6:27 and 6:45 p.m. - Amanda Sautter
The local celebrity judges for the event will be Sherrif Jim Smith, Wagon Wheel Director Lakesha Green and Atelier Art Gallery owner Sea Grandon.
• Flyin’ Brian with Oldie’s 101.1 will be broadcasting live from the event and also doing live interviews.
• Bailey's Pony Rides will be providing pony rides and several food trucks will be serving food as well as many local business vendors passing out goodies.
Third Fridays are sponsored by Main Street Warsaw, the Kosciusko Chamber of Commerce, the City of Warsaw, WRSW and Willie 103.5 and the Dr. Dane and Mary Louise Miller Foundation.
