Warsaw resident Kelly Mager is set to release her newest book in “The Founder’s Club” series, “Pint Sized Entertainment,” on Aug. 1.
This story allows the main character, Jace, to experience what it’s like to start a business in more detail than the characters Casey, Quinn and Marcus from her first trilogy of the series, according to a provided news release.
“Another fun aspect for this story is that Jace is homeschooled, and gets to participate in The Founder’s Club, which is offered by his local public school. Each story spans a school year, so now the kids are in ninth grade,” she said.
Mager started, “The Founder’s Club” books as a way to share with her kids all the things she learned about being an entrepreneur when she published her first book “15 Ways For New Moms To Manage Stress & Stay Sane” in 2020.
“Having no prior personal or family experience in entrepreneurship to draw upon, I quickly felt like I had jumped into the deep end! The Founder’s Club books are a way to detail the thought and consideration anyone starting a business would want to have,” she said.
The fictional narrative is easy to follow and provides a framework any child could use to start their own business; though they’re not likely to realize how much they’re learning along the way, according to the release.
“In the future I hope to collaborate with organizations like Junior Achievement, schools with leadership designations, and events like kids business fairs to grow and encourage our youth’s ideas,” she said.
She is currently lining up book signings and author meet-and-greet opportunities including:
• North Webster Community Public Library, 110 E. North St., North Webster, on Saturday from 1 to 3 p.m. during their Local Author Meet & Greet hosting around a dozen authors local to the area.
