Mabel C. Herron, 98, of Leesburg, died at 11:10 a.m. Oct. 3, 2012, in Grace Village Retirement Community.
She was born in Huntington County, to Homer G. and Ida L. Stuber Cecil. On Sept. 18, 1937, in Wabash, she married Howard W. Herron, who died May 26, 1986.
She graduated from La Fontaine High School. She was a homemaker and was a member of Leesburg United Methodist Church and the Doric and Lydan Circles at the church. She was past vice president of Leesburg Homemakers.
Surviving are a son, David L. Herron, Leesburg. She also was preceded in death by a brother, Homer G. Cecil Jr., and a sister, Pauline Guinnup.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Titus Funeral Home, Warsaw, officiated by Pastor Rob Seewald of Leesburg United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Matlock Cemetery, Wabash.
