June is Headache and Migraine Awareness Month. Chronic headaches and migraines have a profound effect on the lives of more than 40 million people in the U.S.
In fact, 9 out of 10 individuals suffering from migraines report an inability to function normally on days when a migraine occurs. Join neurologist Dr. Kevin McGeehan as he discusses the primary symptoms, causes and treatment options for chronic headaches and migraines during the next Lutheran Kosciusko Hospital Community Health session on June 19 from 5:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m. in the Lutheran Kosciusko Hospital administration classroom, 2101 E. DuBois Drive in Warsaw, according to a news release from Lutheran Health Network.
McGeehan is a board-certified neurologist and medical director of the stroke program at Lutheran Kosciusko Hospital. He cares for neurology patients with disorders of the nerves and nervous system, including the brain and spine. McGeehan is a member of the medical staff at LKH. A question-and-answer session will follow the presentation.
