Lutheran Kosciusko Hospital Physicians Give Back For Doctors’ Day

In celebration of National Doctors’ Day last month, Lutheran Kosciusko Hospital honored its medical staff by donating to their favorite local charities.

Doctors’ Day is set aside to recognize physicians for their skills, sacrifice and service to the community, according to a news release from Lutheran Health Network. LKH physicians decided to select several community organizations to receive a donation in lieu of tokens of gratitude the hospital typically provides them in honor of Doctors’ Day.

“We are grateful to the doctors on our medical staff for providing safe, quality care for our patients close to home,” said Lynn Mergen, CEO for Lutheran Kosciusko. “It is humbling to once again see them give back to the region we serve as we seek to honor them on National Doctors’ Day.”

Organizations in the area received donations were Combined Community Services, the Syracuse Food Pantry, North Webster Area Community Services, the North Manchester Fellowship of Churches Food Bank and Mary & Jerry’s Helping Hands in Mentone.
