NORTH MANCHESTER – Lura Dean Shepherd, 85, Silver Lake, died Aug. 30, 2026, at her home.
She was born July 5, 1941, in Garrett, Ky., to Bert and Mable Moore Hicks. On Dec. 30, 1958, Lura married Sam Henry Bradley. She later married Abraham “Abe” Shepherd on Aug. 28, 1993; he died March 3, 2022.
Family and friends may call Friday, Sept. 4 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the First Free Will Baptist Church of Kosciusko County, Claypool. Funeral services will begin at the conclusion of calling with Pastors Terry Bradford and Wetzel Shepherd officiating. Burial will be at Lakeview Cemetery, Silver Lake.
