MARION - Evelyn Lucile Duke, 87, of Marion, died at 4:20 a.m. Dec. 5, 2010, at Marion General Hospital.
She was born in Kosciusko County to John and Martha Roberts Rhodes. On July 18, 1953, she married Homer L. Duke, who died Dec. 8, 1995.
She was a 1940 graduate of North Webster High School, a homemaker and formerly worked at Anaconda.
Surviving are a son, Michael Duke, Marion; siblings: Gordon Rhodes, Milford; Norman "Dick" (and spouse Sarah) Rhodes, Jack (and spouse Marilyn) Rhodes, Peggy (and spouse Hal) Minear and Jerry (and spouse Julie) Rhodes, all of North Webster; a grandson, David J. (and spouse Vikki) Duke, Indianapolis; and a granddaughter, Lauren Duke (and David Neilan), Indianapolis. She was preceded in death by two siblings, Robert "Bert" Rhodes and Rose Hendrick.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., Marion, with the Rev. Jerry Curtis and Rick Jett officiating. Burial will be in Grant Memorial Park, Marion.
