Lowell and Beverly Barnhart

A family graveside ceremony for the late Lowell and Beverly Barnhart will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 23 at Syracuse Cemetery, on North Mill and High Street, Syracuse. All friends, family and those who would like to pay their respects are welcome.
Lowell and Beverly were married for 69 years and lived in Augusta, Ga., but the couple had deep roots in Kosciusko County, where they were born.
Lowell Ellis Barnhart, the son of Leonard and Esther Barnhart, was born in Syracuse on Nov. 26, 1932. He passed away June 28, 2024, in Augusta, Ga., at the age of 91. Lowell was inducted into the Kosciusko County Basketball Hall of Fame and went on to play a stint with the Dodgers. Beverly Jean Barnhart was originally from Warsaw. She was the daughter of Edmund and Ninabelle See Eheremen and was born Sept. 5, 1935. She passed away Sept. 15, 2025, in Augusta, Ga., at the age of 90. Beverly, a longtime educator, was the founding principal of John S.
