Louise Marie Koerner, 100, of Winona Lake, died at 6:40 p.m. May 5, 2010, in Grace Village Retirement Community, Winona Lake.
She was born Aug. 4, 1909, in Goshen, to Clarence C. and Ethel McKibbin Cobbum. On Aug. 11, 1929, she married J. Eugene Koerner at her parent's residence in Goshen. He died April 4, 1996.
She graduated from Goshen High School in 1927. During her marriage, they lived in Goshen, Middlebury and Warsaw. After Gene's retirement from NIPSCO in 1970, they moved to Fort Myers, Fla. She moved to Winona Lake in August 1999, to be near her family.
Surviving are a daughter, Doris Bosstick, Warsaw; a son, Dan (and spouse Judy) Koerner, Saugerties, N.Y.; six grandchildren: Tammy (and spouse Lex) Dalton, Warsaw; Lisa (and spouse Dick) Sidner, Noblesville; Debbie (and spouse Carroll) Ekstrom, Hanover, Pa.; Cherie (and spouse Dale) Tober, Littletown, Pa.; Lori (and spouse Lester) Schwark, Port Ewen, N.Y.; and Dale (and spouse Kristy) Koerner, Red Hook, N.Y.; 16 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-granddaughter. She was preceded in death by an infant son and her parents.
Cremains will be buried in Violet Cemetery, Goshen, with a private graveside services at a later date.
McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, 2290 Provident Drive, Warsaw, is in charge of arrangements.
