LIGONIER - Lorene Weimer, 71, of Ligonier, died April 4, 2009, in Miller's Merry Manor, Lagrange, after an extended illness.
She was born Sept. 15, 1937, in Warsaw, to Leonard and Lillian Shroyer Mauzy. On Aug. 5, 1955, she married John A. Weimer, who died in 2005.
A lifetime area resident, she worked at Royal Imprints until they closed in 2008. She attended Ligonier Evangelical Church. She enjoyed knitting and reading, but above all, spending time with her family whom she loved dearly.
Surviving are Kim (and spouse Dennis) Sprunger and Craig (and spouse Linda) Weimer, all of Ligonier, and Matt (and spouse Cheryl) Weimer and Rusty (and spouse Cheryl) Weimer, all of Howe; three brothers, Leonard "Bud" (and spouse Norma) Mauzy, Fort Wayne; Larry (and spouse Brenda) Mauzy, Tulsa, Okla.; and Terry (and spouse Maureen) Mauzy, Michigan City; 10 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and her stepmother, Katherine Eppley Mauzy.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Ligonier Evangelical Church, 1911 Lincolnway South, with the Revs. Dave Kushman and Rodger Moyer officiating. Burial will be in Salem Cemetery, Wilmot.
Calling is from 3 to 8 p.m. today at Yeager Funeral Home, Ligonier, and one hour prior to the service Tuesday at the church.
