NAPPANEE - Loren J. Borkholder, 50, of 13317 N. CR 700W, Nappanee, died at 9:50 a.m. May 12, 2007, in his residence.

He was born Feb. 11, 1957, in Goshen, to Ira J. and Arlowene Slabach Borkholder. On June 9, 1977, in Nappanee, he married Marilyn Hochstetler, who survives.

A lifetime area resident, he was a truck driver for Eagle Transport, Goshen. He was a member of Berea Christian Fellowship and a volunteer for Nappanee "Smokey Stovers" Fire Department since 1999.

Also surviving are four sons, Jeremy Wayne, Joshua Loren, Joel Devon and John Ira Borkholder, all at home; two grandchildren; his mother, Arlowene Borkholder, Goshen; three brothers, John B., Larry and Lavon Borkholder, all of Goshen; and a sister, Norine Borkholder, Goshen. He was preceded in death by his father.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at North Main Street Mennonite Church with ministers Clarence Bontrager, James Yoder, Keith Yoder and Henry Raber officiating. There will be a fireman service by members of the Nappanee Smokey Stovers. Burial will be in Berea Church Cemetery.

Calling is from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today at Thompson-Lengacher & Yoder Funeral Home, Nappanee, and one hour prior to the service Tuesday at the church.
