Just got through watching two large white German shepards with what looked to be red collars run a smaller-size deer through a woods, almost catch it in a field and, lucky for the deer, they stopped in the middle of another field. This all happened on CR 600 North roughly a little less than a quarter mile from CR 700 West. The deer and dogs were going full bore through the field, and I'd hate to think what could have happened had a car, truck or motorcycle been going down CR 600 North when they were crossing the road.
I hunt around this area and I have heard other fellows say they have seen these dogs running deer through woods during hunting season. They're kind of lucky someone hasn't took a shot at them by now. That would be a shame because they are really nice-looking animals.
If you're reading this and these are your dogs, please try to keep them up. I would hate to see them cause a wreck by running deer across the roads. Also, does will be having their young before long and as fast as these two dogs are, a young newborn wouldn't have much of a chance against them. Thanks.
