Lady Tigers Fall To Class 4A No. 3 Homestead In Tiger Den

Visiting Homestead, ranked No. 3 in both coaches polls, took an early lead and never let up in a 48-26 win at Warsaw in a non-conference girls basketball game Tuesday night.

Only in the fourth quarter did Warsaw score more than five points in a period.

Kaylee Patton had a dozen points for the Lady Tigers. Abby Sanner had seven, Kacilyn Krebs had three, with Audrey Grimm and Kendall Wayne adding two points each to complete the Warsaw scoring.

Sydney Graber had 16 points and Rylie Parker 11 for the Spartans, who have won 11 straight and not lost to an Indiana team this season.

Warsaw won the junior varsity game 36-35, and Homestead won the freshman contest 41-27.

The Lady Tigers (13-7) . which had won nine times in 10 games, hosts Concord Saturday in the last home game of the regular season.



Lady Vikings Victorious

PERU – Sidney Wagner had 21 points for Tippecanoe Valley, followed by Kaydence Mellott with 14 and Jillian Walls with 11 points in the Lady Vikings’ 60-44 Three Rivers Conference basketball win at Peru Wednesday night.

The Viking JV took a 41-21 win over the Tigers. Rily Holloway had 19 and Lily Ault eight points for Valley.

Tippecanoe Valley (13-5, 5-1 TRC) plays at Rochester in a TRC?contest Thursday.



LCA Girls Fall In Road Game

GRANGER –  Tori Calizo had 18 points and nine rebounds, and Finley Hobbs had 10 points for Lakeland Christian Academy in its 46-37 girls basketball loss at Granger Christian Tuesday night.

Jessi Calizo had six points and nine rebounds, and Jordan Gross pulled down another eight boards.

LCA (9-11) hosts Caston Thursday night.



Cougars Drop Close Game

GRANGER – Cameron Shepherd hit seven three-point shots, one short of the school record, for Lakeland Christian in its 52-51 loss at Granger Christian in a Hoosier Plains Conference boys basketball game Tuesday night.

Seth Martin had 13 points for the Cougars. Brayden Lane had eight points, with Alex Cook, Matthew Helton and Peter Keller each hitting a three-pointer in the contest.

Granger Christian won the junior varsity game 39-34 over LCA.

Lakeland Christian (3-12) plays at Elkhart Christian Thursday night.
