Editor, Times-Union: February is all about love and Warsaw Library will be celebrating Library Lovers Month with special programs and events that we promise you will love.
Like jazz? WCPL is having a Jazz Lovers Program on Saturday, Feb. 11 at 2 p.m. Pianist David Hepler of Indianapolis is on tour and will present the program. Hepler has released six CDs.
Can’t get enough to read? There is a Library Lovers used book sale on Friday, Feb. 17 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Fill a bag for $1! We even provide the bags. This is a great way to buy books at a great price and support the library at the same time.
Send some “community love” by donating new books for hospitalized children and their families during the month of February. Leave the donated books in the Kate’s Kart red plastic bin on the lower level of the Library. Go to www.kateskart.org for suggested titles.
Tell us why you love our library. Enter our “I love my library because…” contest. Adults 18+ who have a current library card can get slips to fill out at the upper level reference desk. Include your name and phone number on the back of the slip and return it to the desk. Entries will be posted with the most “heartfelt” entry being awarded a prize. The deadline is Feb. 29 at 6 p.m. The winning entry will be chosen the next day. Psssst … the prize includes a Vera Bradley tote.
Don’t forget to check out our “Authors We Love” glass display on the lower level. See what authors are the favorite of our library staff. You’re going to love the trivia questions. You’ll find out some interesting tidbits about the authors that you never knew.
