Libertarian Party Of Kosciusko County Announces Candidate Nominations Following April 16 Convention Meeting

The Libertarian Party of Kosciusko County held its official convention meeting on April 16 during which members convened to deliberate and select candidates for upcoming local elections.
The meeting resulted in several nominations, all of which were accepted by the respective candidates, according to a news release from the party.
The following individuals were nominated and formally accepted their nominations:
• Heather Helton for Warsaw Community Schools District One School Board
• Marco Rolon for Wayne Township Board
• Cassandra Rolon for Wayne Township Board
• Alexandra Vergiels for Wayne Township Board
The Libertarian Party of Kosciusko affirms its commitment to advancing candidates who support limited government, individual liberty and fiscal responsibility at the local level, the release states. Party leadership noted that these nominations reflect a growing interest in Libertarian principles within the community and a dedication to providing voters with meaningful choices in local governance.
The party will be coordinating campaign efforts and community outreach initiatives in support of its nominees in the coming months. Additional information regarding candidate platforms and public engagement opportunities will be released as it becomes available.
The Libertarian Party of Kosciusko County will hold an additional convention meeting on May 28 to consider further nominations ahead of the official filing deadline. Party leadership encourages community members who are interested in running for local office to attend and seek nomination at this meeting. The party is actively working to expand ballot access and provide voters with additional candidate options for the upcoming election cycle, the release states.
In addition to local nominations, the Libertarian Party of Indiana convened its annual state convention in March, where delegates selected nominees for statewide and federal offices for the 2026 General Election. Among those nominated were Lauri Shillings for Indiana secretary of state, John Schick for Indiana state auditor and William Henry for United States House of Representatives District 2. The Libertarian Party of Kosciusko County looks forward to supporting these statewide and federal candidates through coordinated outreach, voter engagement and campaign activities leading up to the November 2026 General Election, according to the release.
