MILFORD – Liane Saovongxay, 86, Leesburg, passed away Aug. 25, 2016, at his home. He was born Jan. 13, 1930, in Vientiane, Laos. He was married to Phengdy Saovongxay, who preceded him in death in 2000. He served in the Royal Laos Army from 1950 through 1973 as a mechanic and driver. He left Laos Dec. 24, 1979, and entered a refugee camp Jan. 29, 1980. He became a permanent US resident Oct. 8, 1980. He worked for Veada Industries from 1983 until 1995. He is survived by his two daughters, Somphiane (and spouse Thony) Sriratanakoul and Hatsady (and spouse Ben) Sengvixay; a son, Lamthiane (and spouse Alisha) Saovongxay; and six grandchildren: Tinoy Sriratanakaul, Michelle Litzau, Sydney and Nicole Sengvixay, and Victoria and Cookie Saovongxay. Services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at Mishler Funeral Home, Milford. Calling is two hours prior to the service Saturday and from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
