Xmas Greek?

Editor, Times-Union:
I always thought that "Xmas" had more to do with Greek than with trying to rid Christmas of anything having to do with Jesus. I thought the X represented part of the Greek spelling/symbol for Christ. Just a thought ... I'm absolutely not trying to start a big Christmas "throw-down."

Scalping

Editor, Times-Union:
Hello Readers!
I'll be short about this issue that I myself have never heard addressed before by any elected public officials or law official. I would appreciate a reply with the correct (lawful) answer to two of my questions. 1) Why do people get arrested for breaking the law by scalping sporting event tickets? 2) Why are the people selling the hottest sought after gift this year, the XBOX 360, on eBay and Craigslist for up to $1,000 and more not being arrested for scalping. This item retails for approximately $300.

These sellers - like ticket scalpers - did not intend to keep these when they bought them, they only saw the profit potential and bought as many as they could get so that gift-buying parents and self-indulgers have to pay three to four times the retail price because there are no more XBOX 360s to be sold in stores. They sold out as fast as they received them because the manufacturer did not make enough of them to meet demand. 3)What makes ticket scalping illegal? 4) Is XBOX 360 scalping legal?

This has happened in years past with other hot gifts and nothing has ever been done about it. It looks to be at least a state and federal crime of income tax evasion. Thanks for reading.
