Buying A Dead Horse

Editor, Times-Union:
It's election time again, here we go again, politicians promising everything under the sun to get elected, what's funny is they can't do anything without the approval of the house and senate, no matter what they promise. Democrats and Republicans and any other party have had over 200 years, (give or take a few years) to solve the problems of this great nation, and haven't done so yet, but now all of a sudden Al Gore and George W. Bush have got all the answers. It just seems like we keep paying taxes for a dead horse. Have A Nice Day.

Waterskiing Credit

Editor, Times-Union:
On Aug. 19, I returned to Warsaw to begin teaching my fifth grade students at Washington School after a summer of performing in the water ski show at Sea World in Orlando, Fla. I was shown an article and picture that was in the Times-Union on Aug. 17 indicating that I had been skiing in Warsaw with the Lake City Skiers this summer. The article also stated that Tracey Patrick and I had won second place for partners in the Michigan Invitational.

The credit for that outstanding second place finish in the doubles competition at the Michigan invitational should go to Lake City Ski Team members Tracey Patrick and Jeff Estes. Congratulations to Patrick and Estes on a fine doubles performance in Michigan and congratulations to the Lake City Skiers for another summer of wonderful ski shows free to the public on Sunday afternoons.

Claypool Festival

Editor, Times-Union:
The Claypool Festival Committee would like to thank the many who attended some or all of the activities of the festival. The Claypool Lions provided delicious food throughout the festival, the EMS was around for emergency occurrences and our police department kept the crowd under control. We would like to thank the area merchants that donated raffle items, supplies, money, electricity or whatever. The festival continues with their gifts. A big thank you goes to the residents and merchants on Main Street for their inconvenience during the festival. Also thanks goes to our area radio and T.V. stations, as well as the newspapers. Many thanks to the vendors, car show, garden tractor pullers, parade, three-on-three game and raffle participants. Mark your calenders for Aug. 17 & 18, 2001. Thanks to ALL.

Bass Anglers Say Thanks

Editor, Times-Union:
We would like to take this time to thank the Kosciusko County Fair Board Association and members involved for the recent maintenance on the fairgrounds boat ramp. On behalf of all bass tournament anglers that have utilized this ramp, we appreciate the privilege of its use throughout the fishing season. The area at the public ramp is limited on parking and without the fairgrounds ramp, tournaments would be limited. thank you for your cooperation.
