Stand Up For What's Right

Editor, Times-Union:
I guess I'm just having a bad day, or I just don't understand. All these do-gooders, that are looking out for MY welfare, I sure do appreciate that, but I'm still confused as to what all this hullabaloo is all about. Yes, we have the Ten Commandments posted on several pieces of government - state, county and even city property. So what!

Now I guess if we are going to be totally politically correct, we will just have to null and void all of our laws of this great country of ours. The way I look at it is that that is the only way to keep some semblance of order around. I believe we have a law that states that you just can't go out and kill someone. That's in the Ten Commandments. You can't go out and take someone's property. That's in the Ten Commandments. We are to respect our neighbor. That's a commandment. From what I heard some time ago, it has taken thousands of civil and criminal laws just to uphold those little Ten Commandments.

Now the way that I look at it is that the ACLU are the noise makers. Look at them. They are neither American nor civil, or they would uphold these Laws. They aren't for liberty, and they are trying to destroy anything good. And as for Union, that is this country that many of us have gone into the military to defend this great Union. All the ACLU tries to do is tear it down. Look at our schools, ray, oh no, you might trample on someone's religion, but look at what happens in a school that has had a tragic accident, killing or whatever, and you will find teachers, students and parents praying.

Let's thank a few of these cities and counties and courts that will stand up for what is right and Civil.

Thank you, America, that we can live here in this great land.

Telephone Book Ad Error

Editor, Times-Union:
In the current edition of the Sprint telephone book, there is an error in the display ad for Brown & Associates. My credentials are listed as Ph.D., LCSW, LMFT, LMHC, CCBT, certified clinical hypnotherapist.

I will not complete my dissertation for my Ph.D in psychology until next month. My Ph.D is a continuation of my education and does not have any effect on my license to practice therapy in Indiana. My current licenses and credentials include: LCSW (licensed clinical social worker), LMFT (licensed marriage and family therapist), LMHC (licensed mental health counselor), CCBT (certified cognitive behavioral therapist) and certified clinical hypnotherapist. I apologize for any inconvenience this error has caused anyone.
