I opened the mail today and would like to share a letter from one of our local HEROES. Ryan Plank received a care package from us during the drive DePuy helped sponsor. Here is his letter.
Dear Midas,
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! I wanted to thank the generous people of the greater Warsaw area for the care packages I received here in Baghdad. I cannot express enough how nice it is to get mail while in the theater. The boxes were great and I had a wonderful time going through them. I was able to share many of the items with my colleagues as well.
I am truly humbled by the support I have received from my hometown. I greatly appreciate all of your thoughts, prayers, and donations. In care for our Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen, and Marines, I continue to be amazed by the courage and sacrifice exhibited by the young men and women of this country. I am honored to have the opportunity to work with such fine people.
Thanks again for your donations. I would ask you to continue your strong support of our troops through your prayers and care packages. God Bless all of you and may He continue to bless this Nation that I love.
Respectfully,
Ryan J. Plank M.D.
I don't know about the rest of you, but reading Ryan's letter of appreciation for the items our community has come together to donate and ship I feel a sense of pride knowing this hero is from our beloved community!
Thank you to all who make our care package drive a success! Remember, if you know a deployed troop member, please contact me at 574-269-4545 or troopscarepackages@yahoo.com
