My inquiring mind would like to ask why are so many brand-new Chevys in town? As I recall the president bought GM and I heard everyone around screaming, "Socialist," especially here in Kosciusko County, which is a Republican one-party county. The working class will learn to regret that.
I was expecting to see new Fords everywhere. But who cares I can't afford a new car and would not buy one if I could. For the price of the car plus interest you can buy a cheap place to live even if it's a used Mobile home.
Oh yes, and don't forget no matter which car you buy there is nothing you can do to the engine except blow it up. You can't eat it, you can't live in it. I learned long ago from my pappy that buying new cars is for suckers or fat cats.
Another puzzler: A couple of weeks ago a senior citizen in Ligonier, I believe, was gunned down by police in the street. The article said he shot a few times in the air. But then it said 45 minutes passed before he was gunned down. Forty-five minutes? Police have at their command a host of non-lethal answers to this problem from nets, tranquilizer guns, etc.
Reminds me of one time in California an 80-year-old Mexican farm worker was gunned down by the side of the road when he swung a rake at deputies. I am definitely not a Pollyanna but please.
