FORT WAYNE - LaVonne E. Baxter, 89, of Fort Wayne, died Oct. 23, 2009, in Miller's Merry Manor, Warsaw.
She was born March 21, 1920, in Monroeville. She married Paul J. Baxter, who preceded her in death.
She was a bookkeeper at Industrial Piping & Eng., retiring in 1982.
Surviving are two daughters, Sherry (and spouse Dean) Wolf, Warsaw, and Karen (and spouse Wayne) VanNess, Snellville, Ga.; two sisters, Romaine Smith, Woodstock, Ga., and Jean Lahrman, Fort Wayne; six grandchildren: Matthew and Steven Wolf, both of Warsaw; David Wolf, Atlanta, Ga.; Regan Garrett, Okeechobee, Fla.; Rachel Taylor, Boise, Idaho; and Janell Baucom, Braselton, Ga.; and two great-grandchildren.
Services were Tuesday at Klaehn, Fahl & Melton Funeral Home, Winchester Road Chapel, Fort Wayne. Burial was in Covington Memorial Gardens.
