NAPPANEE - LaVern G. Hochstetler, 50, of 12095 N. CR 850W, Nappanee, died at 7:30 a.m. May 28, 2007, in his residence.

He was born Oct. 4, 1956, in Bremen, to Glen and Edna Mullet Hochstetler. On April 2, 1983, in Nappanee, he married Ida Smith, who survives.

A lifetime area resident, he was owner of Mohr & Mohr Homes, Mishawaka.

Also surviving are two sons, Jeff Hochstetler, Wakarusa, and Eric Hochstetler, Nappanee; a grandson; his mother, Edna Hochstetler, Nappanee; three brothers: Mervin, Hochstetler, Mesa, Ariz.; Dale Hochstetler, Bremen; and Carol Hochstetler, Constantine, Mich.; and four sisters: Mrs. Fritz (Barbara) Mullet, Sarasota, Fla.; Mrs. Bob (Loretta) Miller, Etna Green; and Mrs. Kevin (Sue) Yoder and Mrs. Merl (Mary Lou) Mullet, both of Nappanee.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Nappanee Missionary Church with the Rev. Norm Reimer officiating. Burial will be in Hepton Union Cemetery, Nappanee.

Calling is from 5 to 8 p.m. today and from 2 to 4 and 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the church.
