Laura L. Newby, 53, Warsaw, passed away at 11:12 a.m. March 15, 2015, in Kosciusko Community Hospital, Warsaw. She was born Jan. 19, 1962, in Warsaw, to Raymond and Edith Lynch Newby. A lifetime Warsaw resident, she was employed by Grace Village, Winona Lake, in food service. She was an animal lover, especially dogs, and enjoyed baking, especially Christmas cookies. She was a former member of 4-H and a Warsaw Community High School graduate, Class of 1980. Survivors include her mother, Warsaw; six sisters: Donna (and spouse Rodney) Jordan and Melody (and spouse Thomas) Sands, all of Indianapolis; Pam (and spouse Mark Hartman, Lafayette; Bev Hay and Carol (and spouse Ron) Wood, all of Warsaw; and Phyllis (and spouse Dennis) Rash, Bluffton. She was preceded in death by her father, who died in 1970, and a brother, Larry Joe Newby. Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw, with Chaplain Bob Jarboe officiating. Burial is in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
