On Friday, LaunchPad, the childcare and early learning coalition, held a one-day conference for early educators in Kosciusko and Whitley counties.
Held at the Whitko Career Academy, participants were welcomed by Whitko Superintendent Amy Korus, according to a provided news release.
Just over 100 teachers of children birth to 5 registered for the conference which featured Kristin Stauss, of Hope Forward, as the keynote speaker. Participants were able to choose between several options of workshops over the course of the day to equip them with the knowledge and skills necessary to provide high-quality learning experiences.
LaunchPad Director Sherry Searles said, “Engaging in professional development not only improves teaching effectiveness but also enhances teacher motivation, confidence and professional validations. Teachers who feel supported and competent are more likely to remain committed to early childhood education, contributing to a stable and skilled workforce.”
The LaunchPad Early Childhood Conference was sponsored by The Dekko Foundation.
