NORTH WEBSTER – Kurt K. Kruger, 66, of Cromwell, passed away at 2:29 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 31, 2020, at his home.
He was born on March 16, 1953, in Warsaw, to Loren and Betty Barker Kruger. He graduated from Wawasee High School in 1971 and was a lifetime Kosciusko/Noble County area resident.
He formerly owned and operated Kruger’s Jewelry in Ligonier, Goshen and Elkhart, and Cruiser’s in North Webster. He was a talented musician and played with many local bands, including Short Term Memories, The Relics, and The Night Shift. He was a member of the Clunette Methodist Church and the American Legion Post 253 in North Webster.
He is survived by his daughter, Keri (Adam) Whitmer, of North Manchester; two sons:?Kurt (Jennifer) Kruger Jr., of Pierceton; and Chad (Rachel) Kruger, of Silver Lake; six grandchildren: Annika Whitmer, Hunter Dillon, Evan Kruger, Tarren Kruger, Elise Kruger and Kaylee Kruger; sister, Kay (Yut) Promkhieo, of North Webster; and fiance, Linda Ozier, of Claypool.?He was preceded in death by his parents; and his son, Kris Kruger.
Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 5 at Owen Family Funeral Home, Ind. 13 and CR 500N, North Webster. A memorial service will take place at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 6 in the funeral home, with Pastor Mike Beezley officiating.
