Kosciusko County’s unemployment level remains below 3 percent, according to a report from the Indiana Department of Workforce Development.
November’s jobless rate for Kosciusko County for November was 2.7 percent, which is just up slightly from the prior month when it was listed at 2.6 percent.
The jobless rate for the county is down from one year ago when it stood at 3.3 percent.
Unemployment rates for surrounding counties and a corresponding comparison to one year ago include:
Fulton County, 3.2, down from 4.0.
Elkhart County, 2.5, down from 3.1.
Marshall County, 3.0, down from 3.3
Whitley County, 2.8, down from 3.5.
Wabash County, 3.7, up from 3.6.
Indiana’s unemployment rate stands at 3.7 percent for November and remains lower than the national rate of 4.1 percent. With the exception of one month when it was equal, the state’s jobless rate has been below the U.S. rate for more than four years, according to the state department.
