Kimberly A. BoyerMENTONE – Kimberly A. Boyer, 52, of rural Mentone, passed at 2:10 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 21, 2022, with her husband by her side at their home.
Kim was born on June 2, 1970, in Rochester, to the late Allison Jr. and Sharlene Kay Shull Haimbaugh. She was married on March 25, 2000, in the Izaak Walton League of Argos, to D. Kevin Boyer; he survives.
Kim was a 1988 graduate of Rochester High School. She had been a longtime clerk for D.R. Smith Trucking of Akron. She kept the farm books for the family farm and was the caregiver for her parents until the time of their passing.
She is survived by her husband of 22 years, Kevin Boyer, of Mentone; brothers, Neal Haimbaugh, of Culver; and twin Kenneth Haimbaugh, of Rochester; father and mother-in-law, Donald and Carol Boyer, of Mentone; and nieces and nephews: Joshua and wife Hannah Haimbaugh, Anthony “A.J.” Haimbaugh and companion Smiley, Hayden Haimbaugh and companion Nicole, Isaac Haimbaugh, Abigail Haimbaugh and fiancé Kyle Corn and Hanna Haimbaugh; uncles: Bill and Karen Shull and Spencer and Cathy Shull; and an aunt, Dana Nichols.
Kim was preceded in death by her parents; grandparents, Allison Sr. and Dorthea Haimbaugh and Paul and Opal Shull.
The funeral service will take place at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 27 at King Memorial Home, 101 N. Tucker St., Mentone, with brother-in-law Rev. Michael Smith officiating. The interment will take place following the service in the Mentone Cemetery, Mentone.
Visitation hours will be from noon to 2 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 27 at King Memorial Home, Mentone.
