Kent HareSYRACUSE – Kent Hare, 79, of Cromwell, passed away on Wednesday, Sept. 22, 2021, at Kosciusko Community Hospital.
He was born on Jan. 23, 1942, in Syracuse, to Bill and Mary Galloway Hare. Kent was an avid hunter, fisherman and outdoors man. He was a longtime taxidermist, butcher and served as a reserve sheriff's deputy with Kosciusko County.
He is survived by his two sons: Pat Hare, of Goshen; and Chris Hare, of Syracuse; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren also survive.
Services will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 28 at 2 p.m. at Eastlund Funeral Home, Syracuse, with Pastor Brad Cox officiating. Calling will be two hours prior to the service from noon to 2 p.m. Burial will follow at the McClintic Cemetery.
