Kenneth L. 'Ken' McBride Sr.

HUNTINGTON - Kenneth L. "Ken" McBride Sr., 75, of Fort Wayne, formerly of Huntington and Warsaw, died at 2:30 a.m. March 13, 2009, in the Visiting Nurse and Hospice Home, Fort Wayne.

He was born May 9, 1933, in Convoy, Ohio, to Francis and Clara Ada Pancake McBride. He married Donna Sue McBride, who survives.

He was a graduate of Southside High School, Fort Wayne. Upon graduation he entered the U.S. Army serving in the Korean War as a photographer. He earned his bachelor's degree in accounting from Indiana University, Fort Wayne. He worked as a certified public accountant in Warsaw and Huntington. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He had a love for the Boy Scouts of America and gave generously of his time and leadership.

Surviving are five sons: James McBride, Durango, Colo.; Andrew McBride, Indianapolis; Kenneth McBride Jr., Fort Benning, Ga.; Charles McBride, Austin, Texas; and Christopher McBride, Fort Wayne; four daughters: Adrienne (and spouse Wayne) Nicol, South Jordan, Utah; Jeanette Hileman, Denver, Colo.; Angela (and spouse Richard) Beck, Warsaw; and Amelia (and spouse Jason) Cook, Fort Wayne; a brother, Marvin McBride, Fort Wayne; 21 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, Paul McBride; and his first wife, Chung Park.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, U.S. 24 and Ind. 9, Huntington. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
