KEDCo Has Outside The Fishbowl Event For Residents New To Town

Posted
WINONA LAKE – An Orthoworx Wellness study’s results showing that 60% of Kosciusko County residents are not from here has launched a new monthly get together.
Kosciusko County Economic Development Corp. CEO Alan Tio said the event is called Outside The Fishbowl and will be held monthly, starting with the first meeting 4 to 6 p.m. Feb. 16 at Port Winona in Winona Lake. The point of the gatherings is for people new to the area to come and hear about what Kosciusko County has to offer, where to go, places to eat, etc.
Each meeting, Tio will interview someone who has transplanted to the area, he said. This month’s featured interview will be Matthew Graham, outpatient director of the Bowen Center who moved here from Canada.
Port Winona is a wine bar that also offers tea and a menu. KEDCo is a “no-host,” meaning those attending will have to buy anything they choose to drink – refreshments will not be provided. RSVP is required through the KEDCo Facebook page.
