ENID, Okla. – Kay Rene Courtney, 49, of Hillsdale, Okla., entered the presence of the Lord Jan. 6, 2012.

She was married to Dr. Robert Courtney for 27 years. He survives.

She was a homemaker and a pastor’s wife, serving with her husband at churches in Birmingham, Ala.; Butler; Rogers, Ariz.; Warsaw; and Hillsdale, Okla. She graduated from LaPorte High School in 1981 and Moody Bible Institute, Chicago, in 1984.

Also surviving are six children, Philip (and spouse  Jessica), USAF, Tinker Air Force Base, Oklahoma City, and Joshua, Carralee, Abigail, Megan and Paul, all of Hillsdale; a grandson, Nate; two brothers, Kevin (and spouse Teresa) Shuter and Kip (and spouse Sandi) Shuter, all of Indiana; and several nephews and nieces.

A memorial service was Tuesday at Hillsdale Bible Church and will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at Community Bible Church, Warsaw.

Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home, 2800 N. Van Buren, Enid, is in charge of arrangements.
