Katie M. Speigle, 85, went to be with her Lord, with all of her family by her side, at 7:23 p.m. Nov. 21, 2009, in Mason Healthcare and Rehabilitation, Warsaw.
She was born Dec. 7, 1923, in Prestonsburg, Ky., to James and Sallie Hughes Marsillett. In November 1940, she married Willie Baldridge, who died June 10, 1980. On Nov. 16, 1967, in Claypool, she married Arthur J. Speigle, who died Aug. 3, 1985.
Living in Claypool for more than 40 years, she worked in housekeeping at Tucker Funeral Home, Claypool. She was a member of Full Gospel Pentecostal Church, Silver Lake.
Surviving are a daughter: Barbara (and spouse Pablo) DeLaCruz, Warsaw; a son, Bobby (and spouse Minnie) Baldridge, Claypool; two stepsons, Larry (and spouse Darlene) Speigle, Warsaw, and Jim Speigle, Plymouth; 13 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two daughters, Shirleen Pitts, who died Feb. 10, 2008, and Loraine Bradley Miller, who died Nov. 9, 2008; a son, Lon Baldridge, who died Sept. 9, 2003; a stepdaughter, Pat Hathaway; two brothers, Bill and Tommy Marsillett; and four sisters, Darcus Holbrook, Omma Ousley, Ema Adams and Lula Kilgore.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Full Gospel Pentecostal Church, Silver Lake, with the Revs. Ralph Dotson and Carl Hughes officiating. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery, Claypool.
Calling is from noon Tuesday until the time of service Wednesday at the church.
Titus Funeral Home, Warsaw, is in charge of arrangements.
