Kathryn C. Everson, 92, passed away at 11:10 p.m. Oct. 5, 2012, in her residence at Peabody Retirement Community, North Manchester.
She was born April 11, 1920, in Fort Wayne, to Clarence A. and Helen Marshall Fremion. On Dec. 18, 1943, in Fort Wayne, she married Maurice J. Everson, who died Sept. 13, 1998. They were married for 55 years.
She attended South Side High School and graduated from Warner Beauty College. In her earlier years, she worked as a hair stylist and owned her own salon in Fort Wayne. They lived in Fort Wayne until 1989 when they moved to Shagbark Drive, Warsaw.
She was a past member of St. Luke’s Lutheran Church, Fort Wayne, and she enjoyed flowers, gardening and fishing. Spending time with family members was always the most important aspect of her life.
Surviving are a son, Ron (and spouse Doris) Everson; a granddaughter, Heather (and spouse James) Tuttle; and great-granddaughters, Olivia and Elaina Tuttle. She also was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Clarence G. Fremion.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, 225 Argonne Road, Warsaw, officiated by the Rev. Sue Babovec of Peabody Retirement Community Chapel. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
