Katherine Fay Wallace, 32, Greenwood, and formerly of Warsaw, passed away unexpectedly Sept. 18, 2015, at Porter Memorial Hospital, Valparaiso.
She was born May 13, 1983, in Rochester, to Walter George and Jill Marie Bitterling Wallace.
She was a 2001 graduate of Warsaw Community High School. In 2005 she received her degree in social work from Indiana University – Purdue University Indianapolis.
She had worked at the Bowen Center in Columbia City, Parkview Hospital in Fort Wayne and Your Friends and Neighbors Group Home in Fort Wayne. She  had worked and lived in Kosciusko County, Allen County, in Johnson County for 1-1/2 years, and in Marion for a year.
She attended Vineyard Community Church in Greenwood and was always keeping busy. Some may remember her smiling face when she worked as a sales associate for Walgreens in Greenwood. She really enjoyed helping others, and she especially loved her animals.
Survivors are: her parents; her sister, Elizabeth Rae Wallace, Greenwood; her grandmothers, Bernice Bitterling, Rochester, and Glenna Wallace, Big Rapids, Mich.; countless friends; her dog, Darla; and her cat, Mr. Bojangles. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, John and Jean Wallace.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, 225 Argonne Road, Warsaw, with Pastor Jeff Pfeifer officiating.
Calling is from 9 to 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
