LOGANSPORT – Julie Diane Emery Bailey, 51, of Macy, died at 9:50 a.m. Jan. 31, 2012, in Memorial Hospital, Logansport.

She was born Aug. 23, 1960, in Rochester, to Doyne F. and Luella King Emery.

 She was a clerk for UPS, Bourbon, and formerly owned and operated Bailey Embroidery, Warsaw.

She was a 1978 graduate of Caston High School and attended Purdue University, where she was a member of the Purdue Musical Organizations University Choir. She was an active member of Fulton Baptist Temple.  She enjoyed singing in the church choir, for weddings and special occasions and spending time with her family, especially supporting her nieces and nephews in their sporting and 4-H events.  

Surviving are her father, Doyne Emery, Macy; two  brothers, David (and spouse Donna) Emery, Donna Macy, and Douglas (and spouse Patricia) Emery, Lafayette; a sister, Fleetie Jane (and spouse Jeff) Shriver, Rochester; five nieces: Tara (and spouse Bob) Sarver, Holland, Mich.; Tristan (and spouse Travis) Kirby, Lafayette; Morgan (and spouse Kyle) Munson Rushville; and Stephanie and Shayleigh Shriver, both of Rochester; two nephews, Kyle Emery (and fiance Rachel) Twelve Mile, and Benjamin Shriver, Rochester; a great-nephew, Jackson Sarver, Holland; and uncle Lyman (and spouse Helen) King, Rochester; and two aunts, Maxine Scutt, Coldwater, Mich., and Judy Emery, Byron Center, Mich. She was preceded in death by her mother, Luella Emery, and a nephew, Stephen Doyne Shriver.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Fulton Baptist Temple with Pastor Bruce Russell officiating. Burial will be in Ever-Rest Memorial Park, Logansport.

Calling is from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday and one hour prior to service Saturday at the church.

Gundrum Funeral Home, Logansport, is in charge of arrangements.
