BOURBON - Julia B. White, formerly of Etna Green, passed away peacefully at 9:43 p.m. May 26, 2009, in Bremen Health Care Center.
She was born Jan. 18, 1928, in Hepton (Scott Township), to Edward and Cora Miller Conrad. On June 8, 1947, she married Harold E. "Wormie" White, who died March 13, 1992.
Living in the Etna Green area most of her life, she was a 1946 Etna Green High School graduate. She was a homemaker and formerly worked at Da-Lite Screen and Playtime, both in Warsaw, in her earlier years. She was a member of Order of The Eastern Star and liked making Care Bears®.
Surviving are two daughters, Gail Albright, Loveland, Ohio, and Ginger Ros, Muncie; two sons, George (and spouse Debra) White, Etna Green, and Joe (and spouse Cathy) White, Bourbon; nine grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Opal Jones, Bourbon. She was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Greg; a sister, Thelma; and three brothers, Russell, Lowell "Dutch" and Dale.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Deaton-Clemens Funeral Home, 115 S. Main St., Bourbon, officiated by Pastor David Gould of The Country Church. Burial will be in Etna Green Cemetery.
Calling is from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
