Joseph “Joe” E. Banks IV, 47, of Warsaw, died at 4:39 p.m. March 11, 2012, in his residence.
He was born June 14, 1964, in Johnson City, N.Y., to Joseph E. III and Constance K. Whye Banks, who survive. On June 19, 2000, in Warsaw, he married Joann Bergen, who survives.
Living most of his life in Warsaw, he was an auto technician at Steve’s Auto Care, Warsaw. He was a 1982 Warsaw Community High School graduate and attended Calvary Baptist Church, Oswego. He enjoyed working on cars and was a NASCAR fan, especially Jeff Gordon. He enjoyed watching football and playing on the computer. He loved his wife, children and grandchildren. He and his mom enjoyed a great relationship with each other.
Surviving are five sons: Aaron, Mark Gibson Jr. and Kameron Banks, all of Warsaw; Brendan (and spouse JaaLisa) Banks, Dallas, Texas; and Joseph E. (and spouse Brittany) Banks V, New Orleans, La.; two daughters, Patricia “Trish” (and spouse Roy) Adkisson, Portage, and Victoria Banks, Warsaw; eight grandchildren: Andrew, Bryant, Dominic, Shailynn, Dahniel, Brayden, Braxton and Breland; a brother, Kenneth (and spouse Lynn) Banks, Katy, Texas; and a sister, Reesá (and spouse Timothy) Mathews, Thompsonville, Ill.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Calvary Baptist Church, Oswego, with Pastor Kirk Barger and Dr. Rick Smith officiating.
