Jon Loren DipertNORTH WEBSTER – Jon Loren Dipert, 79, of Murphy, N.C., formerly of Leesburg, passed away at 2:50 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 7, 2019, at his daughter's home in Pierceton.
He was born on Nov. 10, 1940, in Plymouth, to Raymond and Bessie A. “Arlene” McKenzie Dipert.
He graduated from Knox High School in Knox and was married on Dec. 31, 1960, in Warsaw, to Gloria Kay Smith, who survives. He was formerly employed at R.R. Donnelley in Warsaw, National Inquirer in Lantana, Fla., and American Color in Riveria Beach, Fla.
He was a member of the United Presbyterian Church in Murphy, N.C., and Palm Beach Pipe and Drums.
He is survived by wife, Gloria Kay Dipert, of Murphy, N.C.; daughter, Nannette (Scott) Swaidner, of Pierceton; daughter, Nikola Balzer, of Pierceton; five grandchildren: Mary Bradley, McKenzie Harness, Austin Balzer, Ashley Balzer and Audrey Balzer; and two great-grandchildren: Abel and Sabin Bradley.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Robert Dipert.
Cremation will take place at Cremation Services of Kosciusko County, 4356 N. St. Rd. 15, Warsaw. Services will be planned at a later date. Owen Family Funeral Home, St. Rd 13 & CR 500N, North Webster, is in charge of arrangements.
