Jon CoySYRACUSE – Jon Coy, 70, of Syracuse passed away on Dec. 1, 2022, at Goshen Hospital.
He was born on May 14, 1952, in Manhattan, N.Y., to Gladys Mae Mills, who passed away in 1958. Jon was adopted and raised by Ralph and Mildred Lantz Coy. On Dec. 23, 1976, Jon married Jennifer Glon in St. Martin de Porres Catholic Church in Syracuse. He owned and operated Coy Tree Service for many years prior to retiring.
Jon is survived by his wife, Jennifer Coy, of Syracuse; one son, Matthew Coy, of Syracuse; two daughters, Darcey Vilamaa, of Warsaw; and Aubrey Coy, of Syracuse; six grandchildren: Dawson Vilamaa, Dalaney Vilamaa, Daylor Vilamaa, Dauren Vilamaa, Auraya Milos and Lilly Coy. He was preceded by his parents.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, Dec. 4 from 3 to 6 p.m. at the Eastlund Funeral Home. Services will be Monday, Dec. 5 at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Harlan Steffen officiating. Burial will follow at the Syracuse Cemetery.
