DECATUR - John W. Stauffer Sr., 95, of 1300 Mercer Ave., Decatur, died at 5:25 p.m. April 9, 2007, in Adams Memorial Hospital.
He was born Jan. 17, 1912, in Nappanee, to Glen D. and Opal Sinninger Stauffer. On Sept. 20, 1936, in Goshen, he married Florence S. Swinehart, who died Dec. 17, 1997.
He retired from Co-Op Mills, Cincinnati, Ohio, in 1982, and was a type setter at Harmony Press.
Surviving are two sons, John W. Stauffer Jr., Eaton, Ohio, and Samuel D. Stauffer, Flint, Mich.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Woodcrest Chapel, Decatur, with Chaplain John Follett officiating. Burial will be in Violet Cemetery, Goshen.
Calling is one hour prior to the service Friday at the funeral home.
