John G. Pryor

ROCHESTER – John G. Pryor, 84, of Rochester, died at 7:59 a.m. Dec. 21, 2012, in South Bend Memorial Hospital. He was born Dec. 18, 1928, in Peru, to Carl and Florence McElhenny Pryor. On April 16, 1948, at the Christian Church of Peru, he married Rhea Dollen, who survives. Also surviving are two daughters, Carol Ann (and spouse Greg) Amend, Mason, Ohio, and Pam (and spouse Charles) Jones, Rochester; a son, John “J.D.” Pryor (and partner Doug Werner), Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; a sister, Janet (and spouse John) Kassbaum, Carmel; a brother, Carl (and spouse Terri) Pryor, French Lick; and a stepmother, Margarite Pryor. Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Good Family Funeral Home, Rochester, with Pastor Jim Clark officiating. Burial will be in Rochester IOOF Cemetery.
