SPEEDWAY - John Alan Dorsey, 47, of Indianapolis, passed away Feb. 13, 2010.
He was born Dec. 26, 1962, in Warsaw, to Floyd and Lillie Yarger Dorsey. He married Jeri Deeter, who survives.
He was a 1985 graduate of Taylor University and has been a math teacher at Pike High School for the past 21 years, as well as department chair for the math department.
Also surviving are two sons, O.J. and Jonathan Dorsey; his father, Floyd (and spouse Barbara) Dorsey, Warsaw; a brother, Floyd (and spouse Fran) Dorsey, Argos; and two sisters, Mary (and spouse Steve) Maurer, Fayetteville, Ark., and Linda (and spouse Jim) Stouder, Warsaw. He was preceded in death by his mother, Lillie Dorsey.
Services will be at 7 p.m. Thursday at Flanner and Buchanan Funeral Center, Speedway.
Calling is from 3 p.m. until service time Thursday at the funeral home.
